The Angels Dance Squad was formed in July 2003 to provide a fun out of school activity which would help children keep fit, learn new skills and work as a team.

We started with just 9 girls and we now have 24 who attend weekly to practice.  Our trainer - Cathy Taylor had never baton twirled before although she had passed several exams whilst a youngster with the IDTA.

The girls learn the "art" of baton twirling as well as "pom" dance - which is a little like cheerleading but without all that unneccessary shouting!  We also do Military and Flag routines.

Our uniforms are quite modern and the girls all look stunning when they are dressed up at an event.

The aim of the squad is to have fun!  Whilst we have performed at several local events last year and we have lots to attend this year (see our calendar).

Angels Dance Squad is a not for profit organisation and we raise funds ourselves by holding cake stalls and quizzes as well as receiving donations for attending events and bag packing.

The parents all work hard to ensure that we keep running but as with any sport it is expensive and the children keep growing!

We have received sponsorship from a photographer in Heckington (see sponsorship page) which enabled us to buy a new mace and some tracksuits for the squad.
